A small meet at my place Saturday

I'll be pulling my trans this Saturday and maybe some other stuff on the other Marks.

If anyone near the Southeast Michigan area wants to stop by and do some work , cleaning or waxing on their cars (or just say hello and hang out) you're welcome.

It won't be as much fun as parting a car out though.:D

Just send me a pm if you're interested.

Sorry you can't make it guys, I just thought I'd mention it, I'm trying to get some small meets going.

If I don't get my parts by this weekend, I'll probably be putting the trans in next weekend. You're welcome to stop by then.:D

I've removed two of these transmissions by myself before, but I did need a friend to wiggle the tail housing, when I installed the trans in the red Mark.:D

If it ends up being next weekend, let me know. we're still figuring out if we'll come up that way for the tccoa meet.

Sharon, if you are going to be in town next weekend, it will be next weekend.:)

I've been to your house, but you've never been here, you are always welcome to stop by.

I'll be working on all my cars, every weekend, in the near future (I'm very behind on all of them, even just cleaning and waxing).

It's always more fun when friends are working on their cars at the same time, it seems less like work.:)

Bill, I'll let you know. I still can't really drive, even with the short cast I have now, so I just still am not sure what our plans will be.

It was a great meet today!

Jeremi and Margaret stopped by. We got the exhaust and driveshaft out of the green Mark.

The weather was so nice, we decided that that was enough car work for now, and went to another freinds house and had a few beers at the picnic table.:D

Margaret doesn't need to help, just her company is more than enough. She's always so nice and happy.:)

A sharp contrast to Jeremi's jabs at me.:D

They're both some of the nicest people I've ever met though.

I've seen Margaret get in there and help on the cars, she's awesome (so is Jeremi, though)!

Well, we met again as planned. It was my friends Scott, Jeremi and Steve this time. They didn't have to do much, mostly Meatloaf Duty. Jeremi did help me position the trans though, and I really appreciate that.

A meatloaf is anyone that hands you tools, holds "this wrench", moves the jack, or puts in some nuts and bolts for you. I play meatloaf when I help them on their cars all the time. A meatloaf really makes the job easier.

We got the trans bolted in on Saturday, and I've been doing the rest of the details since then. Of course 3 out of 4 exhaust bolts broke off, but I got a new drill for Christmas.:)

I also put a new IAC valve in. I don't know why everyone says this is so hard on a gen1, it's just 2 steps. Step one: Remove trans. Step 2: Replace IAC. :D

Thanks again guys!

Here's some photos that Steve took:
