A story of two foci

Well to start the tale I must say this was one of the most interresting things that has happened to me in quite some time. Leo and I were at the gas station in Carlisle on our way to the showfield after picking up some ice for the cooler. I proceded to pull up behind another Focus "with large rear wing and reflective window tint barf!" that was ready to exit the lot. I left about 5-6 feet between me and him. Rene and husband Brad were in her Mark VIII at the other exit from the lot. As I wait for this Focus to pull out I suddenly am aware of the backup lights comming on! WTF! before I could react, the Focus must have floored it in reverse slamming rather abruptly into my front bumper. Well now my blood pressure has gone from normal to thru the roof in a matter of a split second. Leo was like oh my god WTF! My reaction was somewhat slow due to the shock but Leo was out of the car 1st. I followed about 5 seconds later and immediatly went to survey the damage. Fully expecting a shattered front facia, wrinkled hood, and bent fender. Well none of the above only a slight chip on the front facia. Lucky me! Well by this time I am like ok I can deal with that. The stupid kid focus owner was like sorry man I could not see out my window tint. By the grace of God I was ok so I was controling my anger. About this time I see Brad walking rather briskly towards the situation. Though he had on dark sunglasses they could not hide the red in his eyes or the facial expression which said this other kid is dog meat. I politely looked at Brad and said it's ok. He said alright and calmed down. The stupid punk asked again if it was ok. I said yes and we parted ways. All went to the show and started to detail for the judging. While at the show the punk comes over again to see if all is "cool" with what happened. I give him a knod yes and it is done. I could only knod due to the frustration that keeps building as I realize that the dumbass should remove the wing and or tint if he cannot see. Or how about this idea use your freaking mirrors. Oh well hope that you all find this amusing I sure do now. LOL oh well here is to next year. Thanks again to Brad and Leo for the backup. I had no idea the LOD lynch mob was going to make a possible Carlisle showing this year. :7

the infamous foci mating incident! didn't work too well, eh?

glad your car wasn't hurt. it's not any worse than a rock chip, and i probably picked up a couple of those in the last couple weeks.

RE: A story of two foci

Bill, glad you were able to control your temper, and that no one was hurt(imagine if someone was walking between the cars?)

Lynch mob...that cracks me up.

Dumb kid...I probably wouldnt have been so "cool", as my adrenaline would have taken over...especially after all the hard work you put into just "getting there".

I would have probably done something stupid, or destructive to his car.

"..hey man, you ok? I couldnt see you with my tint and wing"

walk calmly over to his rear wing, rip it off with one hand, throw it towards the street...and reply "...yea, I'm ok"

RE: A story of two foci

It was absolutely unreal. Bill spent so much time preparing for the show, and taking care of everyone else, and this happened . . . x(
I'm just glad no one was hurt, and Bill's pride and joy wasn't all torn up. :*

You never know! In a month or so... the hood starts to bulge... it doesn't run well in the mornings... and those late-night cravings for diesel  !

Glad it wasn't worse than it was!
