My setup:
DirecTV HDDVR + 50" Sony SXRD LCOS HDTV
My issue:
HDMI from HDDVR to HDTV not coming in.
I called Sony and they said that DirecTV needs to activate the HDMI circuitry in the HDDVR. The Composite leads work just fine.
I called DirecTV and they said that "apparently" the HDDVR and HDTV are not compatible through HDMI cabling. They also claim that Composite connection is just as good of quality as the HDMI connection. Sony says HDMI is better than composite.
Someone is full of IT and I'd just like for someone out here to let me know who it is. I'm guessing DirecTV.
