cheap rumble

I'm want to boost the noise from this car without pissing off the OCM. I've heard that changing the back pressure on the system will affect the O2 sensors and resulting in less ponies from the motor.
I've been looking thru the threads and have been wondering how to do this cheaply(still paying for new motor). I'm familiar with the exhaust and have good welding skills.

Do you really need that resonator?
What's up with the 3 cats?

RE: cheap rumble

ya cut the mufflers, it sounds good, people say buy the race bullet mufflers there only 30 bucks and it sound really good OMG it the best but for real it sounds just like cutting the mufflers off.

RE: cheap rumble

why does inaccurate info get passed around? Your O2 sensors have nothing to do with it. I have a custom mandrel bent exhaust on my '97. It is great, no mufflers at the rear, just a dual in dual out muffler with a built in "X". It is where the third cat and resonator used to be.
