I was looking around and saw a Hypertech 160 degree thermostat for our cars. Now on my volvo, lowering the temp of the thermostat will not add power but cause it to run really rich. is this the same on the lincoln? can i add a 160 degree and actually make power and not run too rich or lean?

ok well i have about $20 extra someone bought a video game from me so ill get a JET 180 degree. and my air/fuels will still be ok?

I have the 160 T-stat.

You can have the cooling fans come on sooner with a tune or chip. At the drag strip it can help minimize heat soak. On the street it is really no different, certainly no different than a 180 T-stat in moderate climates.

I've bought the MSD Cobra(96-98) DOHC plug wires before. I think they were 8.5mm.

180 Thermostat

I bought part number THM-109 from Napa Auto Parts. It's a 180 degree unit that bolts right in. Buy a new o-ring while you're there. Under $10 for everything.
