discount tires suck major ass, i wanted a 255/60/16 for a 6.5" rim and they saido' you cant put a big tire like that on a small rim. i said i will just go else where (after arguing w/ two of the guys up there.) i also said dont tell me i cant' cuse i had a 6" rim w/ 255/60/15 on the and no problem at all, so i will most likely go to pep boys and get a discount there or go to ntb instead. i talk to the guy at wicked performance w/ the black t/a(high rise hood) and he also told me that he wanted 315' on his stock rim and they said he could not cuse it was to big and he told his other friend to show up at d.t. to show him is ta w/ the 315' on his stock rim. discount tire just blows...

I cannot say a bad thing about Discount Tire. I just had them install a set of Nittos in 245-50-16 and they had no problem with that. I got the GSP9700 balance for $12 a piece, which is a great deal ( It took some negotiating though LOL). Talk about a smooth ride now ...

P.S. They can do whatever you want, but you have to sing off some paper so that you cannot hold them responsible for it.

go to tirerack.com and look at the rim width. You'll find the size that is recommended for your rim based on the tire you select.

What you are trying to do is way out of spec.

I applaud Discount Tire for not letting you do something dangerous.

6.5? That’s like 205 factory?
Why would you put 255?

Our cars are 7.5, and not too many would recommend 255's still.

I think he's trying to say that one of his friends put a 315 tire in a 6inch rim.
