Does anyone still wear a watch

I guess I'm old school but I still wear mine. We see time all around us, phone, computer etc. Is there any need to wear a watch. I'm just accustomed to looking down at my wrist to check the time. I don't have my watch on now and my wrist feels naked.

I guess it's like a land line, do you really need it if you have a cell phone?
 
I sure do! It's a lot easier than reaching in a pocket for the cell to see the time, if I wanted to do that I'd start wearing my Grandfather's pocket watch!
 
I held out for a long time but finally gave in after a desk job and carrying three cell phones! I do still on rare occasions wear one, but it's more like jewelry now rather than a necessity.
 
all the time, we even made a watch collection thread on here awhile back
 
I liked that watch collection thread. Put me in the camp with Steve and Driller. I got out of the habit of wearing mine when I was doing a lot of wiring and computer repair a few years back. I tired of snagging it on things as I worked.

With the cell phone, computer, and car, I rarely miss wearing it.
 
I tried wearing watches when I was younger but I always scratched the chrystals up when working on cars so I quit wearing them.

Also, the winding stem was always on the wrong side for a lefty.:D

You can always strap your cell to your wrist like Dick Tracy. :wave:

There's a reason why the rest of us are called "RIGHT" handed! Lol. :D

I used to be a gadget watch guy. Everything like calculator watches, PDA watches, cardio watches, weather station watches and many more.

I feel nekkid without mine, but rarely take time to put on jewelry at all anymore.

Bill, I just wear mine on my right hand, which always seems to creep people out. I've done it for years, and I have watches that don't need winding, but yeah, I know, PITA. People forget how hard it can be to be left handed.
