Doing the exhaust next, need some help

I'm going to be doing exhaust mods to my '95 Mark VIII. I plan on eliminating the catalytic converters, will this cause a "check engine" light or be a problem in any way (besides the law). I'd like to run 2.5" pipes and true dual exhaust with an x pipe and flowmasters or magnaflows. I've seen these mufflers for sale and think they look pretty good: (last ones at the page) http://supercoupeperformance.com/partBrowser.aspx?category=78 , anybody have them and can comment on the sound?. Thanks.

I hope so, all the more reason to ditch them. Ok, since I just brought up the subject of dichin the cats, what effect would it have?. No "check engine" light or anything right?. I'm thinking I can ditch the cats, put on some true dual exhaust w/flowmaster or magnaflow mufflers and call it a day.

No CEL. The motor will breathe better. But you do risk failing emissions if you have emission nazis in your state/county. I'm sure a High flow cat can take care of that though. And the car will be louder. Some like this, some don't. You might even get a little better mileage out of it.
