Driver Side Mirror has Yellow Spots

The driver side mirror on my 93 has yellow spots that i cannot get to go away. I am not sure what it is. The 93 didnt have an autodim mirror did it? Thats the only thing i can think of but i thought they didnt put those in until the later Marks.

That is indeed an auto-dim mirror. At least it looks like there is a large black shroud around the edge of the mirror. If it does NOT have it, it will look just like the passenger side mirror.
 
So if it is an auto dim, from what i have read all i have to do i get the mirror apart, wipe up the fluid, and reassemble. Is that correct?
 
Yup. You can get mirrors off eBay though if you want to save a bunch of time. Then you can just remove the mirror and stick a new one on. I think the last one I picked up was about $20.00 shipped, if that.
 
what color is your car dude i have over 100 mirrors i think i might have one, or do what i did to mine, pull that black surround off, use a little pick to get it started but dont apply enough pressure that you break the mirrors internals, you gently pry the black gasket off around the edge, there will be a little metal train track looking strip and a few wires, i cut it right off, take off the clear outer glass lense and throw it away, get some windex and a new razor scraper and gently clean the mirror, spray it real wet and scrape gently wiping off as you go to get rid of all the stained autodim chemical, it will just be a normal mirror after that, but you'll be able to see crystal clear!!
 
Actually i dont know the exact name for my mark. Its a 93 white pearl is what i call it.I know throughout the years the paint changed a little. I will upload a photo to help
 
Check the door stuck for color code. Its hard to tell with a pick, but it looks White Opalescent to me.

WK White Opalescent
YZ Arctic White

Hmm, guess that it for light colors in 93.
 
For '93, that would be either
WK (White Opalescent) * $ Extra cost Tri-coat but not listed as such in brochure 1993 through 1997
or
YZ Arctic White
 
i just picked up a perfect auto dim 93 mirror in your color, auto dim feature works great lense is clean no leaks in the chemical and paint is nice on it if you still need one.
 
i always wondered what that chemical was in my mirror it is about a 1/4 inch low got a little line in the mirror i realiaedit was liquid when i was on an incline and it moved. thanks i did not know what it's purpose was. 1 dumb point for Kracker lol
