DVD-RW Question

Happy New Year, guys.

OK, I screwed up. Since the DVD recorder was taking too long to erase video content, I used the PC (WIN7) to erase/format them. Now they cannot be read by the DVD recorder. They now read as full -R DVDs

There used to be old CD Creator software that would erase "alien" formatted CD-RW.

Anybody got any suggestions on how to resurrect the DVDs? XP PRO will not work either.

One won't (Panasonic). The other would (Magnavox.)

The Panasonic will flag it as an unusable disk and will not give the format option.

Magnavox fixed the disks.

I gave up on the RW discs years ago.. mostly due to problems like this.

the regular DVD-R's are so cheap anyway. it's wasteful, but reliable.
