East Coast?

Anyone coming up the east coast? I live in Richmond, VA so I've only got about a 200-300 mile drive, but I'm doubting a straight-shot up I-95 would be a good idea just because of DC. I'm leaning towards I-95 to US-17, then jumping on I-81 the rest of the way.

Any thoughts? Anyone passing up through Richmond and want to meet up anywhere for the last leg of the drive?
 
Aah, darn. That's a little out of the way from my route. haha

edit: Did I really just say "darn"? That doesn't seem like me at all...
