Finally got my new mark home

I finally got my new mark home today. It is a 1993 Mark Viii white colored. I will post some pictures tomorrow. The car has 148k miles on it and needs some tlc. The master cyl is out, no radio need to replace the air ride compressor, trunk is missing the carpet. I ended up getting the car for $500. I do have one question though. When the car is running the display says to close the door. Both doors are closed and it will not let me reset it. Is there a sensor i need to check or replace? Thanks for reading and i look forward to being a member here.

Use WD40 (nothing else) on the door button (on side of the door - not the jam) liberally. Open/close the door numerous times. If it still does it, respray and let sit overnight. I MIGHT be the switches themselves, but prob not.

Lots of write-ups on this...just search for door switch.

Ahhhhhhh... the joy of a new Mark VIII and the zeal to fix all the little things. :)

Yeah it definitely has a bunch of little things to fix on it but it seems like a good buy. I am uploading pictures from my camera now so i will post pics soon.

Like the trunk? lol

Welcome!

The Mark VIII looks great. I'm sure it will look a lot better when you give it your tlc.

I wonder why someone would remove the trunk carpet.

By the way, your 20 spoke directional wheels are on the wrong side of the car. If you look near the lugnuts, you will see that the arrows are pointing in the wrong direction. It's a common error.:)
