Firing up the old stereo record turntable

I put my turntable away back in 1983 when I bought my Sony CDP-101 CD player (the first CD player available).

I was a bit of an audiophile back then, it wasn't the best turntable available, it is just a Pioneer direct drive, but I have a nice sounding Signet cartridge that I bought for it.

I wasn't able to find a replacement stylus for it, but I thought I might still have a good one out of the 4 used styli that I kept.

I bought a digital microscope to check the condition of the old styli, and found at least 1 good one so far.

I hooked it up, leveled it out, and played an old ZZ Top LP. It sounds great again. :thumbsup:

Since then, I've played a bunch more of my old albums, including many of my half speed master recordings that aren't available anymore. :)
