Fuel Door Release

For some reason, there are some times that the fuel door release will not work. I hear the popping sound each time, so the button seems to work. I have to open it with the pullrope sometimes. Anyone come across this?
 
I've gotten in the habit of whacking that button 3 times instead of just once. That usually does it. :D

My theory is that the little spring on the back of the filler door could probably adjusted to help, but my current solution is working well.

Although in the back of my head, I still hear the voice of my high school science teacher. "That button only has so many pushes in it. It might be 10,000, but now it's 9,999."
