on my way back from hockey (damn, dont most of my tales of triumph start off like this?) i spotted what looked to be an NA 300zx, no lip spoiler, and it was hooked up. from what i saw, it had larger wheels, a nice paint job, and a really loud exhaust setup. i passed him and started trying to get out of traffic and i noticed he was doing the same. we finally found a long stretch clear of traffic and he decided to jump. i let him pass and leisurely hit my o/d button and almost kicked a hole in the floorboard. i quickly reeled him in and started cruising at around 100 with him till we hit traffic again.
he switched over to the same highway i was going to and we decided to go again. this time i was further ahead of him and he tried to fly past me. once i saw him picking up some speed i nailed it. he was about at my rear bumper when i did this and he got about even with my front bumper when i started walking. i shut down around 120 and he pulled next to me and gave the thumbs up.
the ol girl made me proud tonight. i forgot how much fun upper rpm races can be.
