I have a stock '93 Mark VIII with 173,000 miles. A few months ago I overheated the engine to the point that it shut off. Now, at low RPM's, I am having an insane amount of hesitation and choking as well as a small bit of white-grey smoke coming from my exhaust when I rev at High RPM. I was told the heads are fine, no cracks, and equal compression along all cylinders; my own inspection revealed no coolant in my oil, only a small amount of coolant loss, and no vacuum leaks that I could find with a can of BP Cleaner. Where do I head to next? Should I go ahead and replace the upper intake manifold gasket? Is it that difficult to do? Any help would be appreciated?
