:confused: It is crazy i have a 96 Mark viii love it to death but i am having minor problems, THE ENGINE WAS EXPOSED TO THE RAIN FOR APROX. 45 MIN AND IT RAN PERFECT AND THEN WELL....I CUT IT OFF AND IT HASN'T STARTED SINCE.I am suspecting the ecm got wet because i am smelling like a burning sell but noone around here even has one.... could this be the problem?? :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:[/SIZE]

No, ECM is located inside the car.

Do what Roadboss said.
 
My problem is condensation, I don't drive it very often so in my truck I use a small portable heater, Set it to about 75 deg. and let it run a long time!! I have alot more air space around the engine so you might need to move the heater around. Air flow will dry better than over heating, steam goes places rain water can't

Now it's shut off and won't restart.

Hmmm...

If you dry it out and it starts, it's needing spark plug wires.

If you dry it out and it still doesn't start, it's the cam sensor or cam sensor harness.
