HID ???

If you put HIDs on a first Gen do you also have to replace the
"sidelights"?

I would think it would look a little strange with new HIDs and the old style/texture of the sidelights.

Does any one have a close up on some HIDs?

RE: HID ???

Brand new side markers would look nice but at close to $120 a piece is steep.
The brand new ones will look a lot better than 10 year old ones.
I replaced my headlamps(not HID) and now want new sides because they look discolored next to new lamps.
I think an aftermarket clear side marker,(for gen1's) with HID's would look really good on a Mark. I don't think the clear sides would look too ricey with the HID ballast..

RE: HID ???

The saddest thing is that the cornering lights put out more light than the stock gen 1 headlight!

RE: HID ???

If you look at the picture of my car, you can see a scratch on the pass side mirror... that was from way back in the day when I took the side mirror clean off a new Saab 9-5 that was double parked on Mass Ave in Boston... Ahh... memories...:D
