Hood Scoop

Okay, so I ran my car on the 1/8th strip a few weeks ago. I was only running 10.2. My big problem is the temp of the engine compartment. So I have decided to through a hood scoop on. The question is what look should I go for. And that is where everyone's opinion comes into play. I plan on cutting a hole in the hood. This is not like the rice burners. And opinions or recommendations would be greatly values.

Thanks

Alex

RE: Hood Scoop

You can remove the weatherstrip at the rear of the engine compartment at the cowl.

You can install a cowl induction hood. See one of our sponsoring vendors at www.supercoupeperformance.com

Affixing any type of scoop to our hoods would be problematic due to the hood material and construction. Use SEM 'no swell' panel adhesive along with mechanical connection(rivets, etc...).

RE: Hood Scoop

Depending on the aerodynamics, you may want to install a rear facing scoop. Sucking hot air out may be easier than "scooping" it in, and you get the added benefit of better high speed handling due to the air that is sucked up around the engine from the ground.
