Hotels in NY?!

I never knew about that giant teardrop, it did not get a lot of press coverage i guess. I looked on line and it was rejected by Jersey City, and so Bayonne took it in because they did not have a lot of money for a 9/11 memorial. Ironically people considered the tear drop an eye soar. If I am ambitious on Sunday I think I will go check it out.

Wait until you see where it's located and what surrounds it!

Hotels in Queens

I did a search. A lot of hotels are already booked for the time you are going.

This one is still available.

We stayed here 3 nights in Oct. 2007. The hotel is clean, quiet, 2 blocks from subway station. Very safe neighborhood, in the heart of Flushings Chinatown. Many restaurants nearby. $16 taxi ride to LGA (10 minutes). Helpful and friendly staff. Subway line #7 goes to Grand Central and Times Square ( 20 minute ride). Breakfast was standard fare...

$179 per night.

http://www.vrbo.com/104095 I'll be getting this ... MANHATTAN almost smack down where the action is... price isn't bad either.

Thanks for the help everyone :D

Nice, did they give you the address?

Did you figure out what you want to see in the short amount of time you have? Remember to give yourself a lot of time, this time of year there are a lot of tourist and gridlock in the city.

52nd and 10th ave. :D haven't made a sight seing plan yet. But I still got 2 weeks to figure that out. I got the difficult thing out of the way now.

Not a bad local, it is not right next to anything exciting, but you can get to a lot of places by walking a short distance or taking the subway. You just want a place to crash anyway. There use to be some night clubs back in the day right there that I would go to that were old warehouses.

Yea looks like I have it locked in and everything. I am very excited this will be so much better than staying at the airport and taking the subway for 1-1.5 hrs to get to places!!!

Lame.......not the most important reason to go and waste your money. You have family there or are you taking the other(notice I didn't say better) half?

Don't have a better half at the moment ;-). But flights are cheap and I am not going to get many chances to go places, so I am going to enjoy them while they last.

My cousin is at Columbia and my good friend is in Princeton so i'll have stuff to do.

I was going to say...If you could find no place to crash..you can always stay with me...Im 3 blocks from a train station that can get you to Grand Central in under an hour!
