Hunter green Mark VIII spotted in PA travelling

Spent the fourth weekend in Syracuse NY. After two new tires and an oil change, i took the dually up there from FL for her maiden breakin voyage and to log miles to see what i got for MPG. I got some tweaking to do on the shift points for holding OD and dowshift point for going up hills while in tow (we have no hills here in FL) but all in all she did fine.

On way back i counted only 7 Marks on major highways. None on the way up there through Atlanta and up 81 North. I've come to the conclusion that Marks are all but extinct in upstate NY. Never see any up there when i visit. On way back i got smoked by a hunter green Gen 1 near Atlanta on 65 South. I was rolling about 75-80 and saw headlights comming up fast, so i moved over a little to the right to give them clearance and get ready for the wind, when a Mark flew by me doing over 90 trailing a black BMW. haha Made me miss my Mark. (Shes been sleeping in the garage for the last 2 or 3 months with nose taken off).

where abouts in fl are you from? there was a mark VIII meet here in florida last month we had 9 show up, we had a cook out, and took some awesome pictures with the gulf in the background. i am in tarpon springs, north of clearwater. why is the nose off your car? did you wreck , i have front end parts like fenders and hoods, bumper covers, hit me up you need to put a nose back on and join us at a meet, we are going to try to make it a monthly thing now.

I saw the cookout/meet pics

lol, he's got the nose off the Mark doing the boost ritual. :D

hehe yep, its been a long dragged out ritual, but its comming along now that i got the right bracket and hardware. I posted update pics on old thread. Also i will be creating the lower valance dropped jaw open mouth nose that Lincoln forgot to give us for more ram air. It will be done in fiberglass to ram air up into the intercooler. If i get frisky ill add holes for some driving lights. Well see how time goes between now and then, making the mold and test fitting everything before attaching to current nose.

I'm located up in Florida pandhandle near Fort Walton Beach FL. Between Pensacola and Panama City. The only close track we got here is 1/8th mile and is called Emerald Coast Dragway. I saw the pics and would of come if i wasnt in NY at the time. If you guys wouldnt of minded a Chevy truck taking up a space at the end. I'll keep looking on here for the next meet. Im an old GM/Pontiac Trans Am fan from way back. The Lincoln was my first venture into FORD territory with mod motor other than an 85 F-150 truck i used to own way back. And we all know that GM stands for God's Machinery.
