A little over a year ago I modified my 93's exhaust by removing the resonator, swap mufflers for Flowmaster 40 series and 2 1/2" pipes from the third cat back. I get an awful drone inside the car. Besides that, it sounds great at WOT but more like a 6 cyl. with a hard-on at idle and in-town cruising. It didn't look like you could fit two pipes down through there. How close to a GT will it sound if I got a 2 in-2 out third cat and dualled the pipes with an X-pipe? How will it fit? I want that GT GARGLE!!

In the past with other cars that had a drone all it took was an "X" pipe. It seemed to lower the sound level, control the drone and yet define the V8
"GARGLE". That would be the cheapest way to go and if you arent yet happy with the sound you could still put in a dual in dual out Magnaflow in place of the third cat.

I've never heard (or seen) one "gargle", but I've heard the "GURGLE" you are talking about!!! Sorry guys...the devil made me do it! LOL
I caught that too but just left it, too lazy to change it.
