Hey guys,
Last week I ordered a new OEM ignition cylinder for my 96. The one I had was sloppy. With the key out I could spin the external key guide. Also they kay would get caught at times and it just did not feel right.
I saw on eBay there was a new one for a Continental (93 to 96). It looked the same so I bought it. The key guide is chrome, not black.
I had to re-key it. It came with temp factory keys that would have worked but I wanted to keep the stock ones. Re-keying was easy.
Install was no problem. I have take it out before so I was familiar with how it all went together. But its a pretty easy project for anyone. The cylinder itself only needs a push pin to pop it out.
Total price was only $33 with shipping. Im happy with it!
