The Mid Atlantic MN12 Thunderbird and Cougar Club has a annual event called the Summer Blast. This is the third annual event hence the name Mid Atlantic MN12 Summer Blast III. Despite the name they do welcome all Mark VIIIs as well. I have had the opportunity to meet a few members of their club at Test 'n Tune events in Hagerstown, MD(Mason Dixon DragWay). They are a typical bunch of enthusiastic car nutz like us! LOL! :7

The event is a 2 day affair; combination drag racing, car show and just plain get together. As it just so happens, the weekend of August 21st and 22nd is my birthday weekend and I plan to leverage the hell out of it. }(

I have been personally invited to attend and approached to cordially extend an open invitation to all members of the LOD to bring their magnificent Lincoln Mark VIIIs and make this event even bigger than before.

Sounds interesting. ANyone else thinking about going. Shoot by then I should all my stuff done except the chip.

If i end up in MD on work the week before or after, i'll try to extend my stay over the weekend, and i'll show up in a rental car.

:) This is your folks opportunity that are local/nearby to trip on down here and shine either at the Ford car show or on the track. Besides I think Driller said he thought we could fill the staging lanes for this one with Lincolns and MN12's. 26 total on the track last year, Lets hope to do better this year.

Be nice having them stang boys waiting and watching all of us run for a change!!! :D

Sadly, day two of the MN12 Summer Blast III has been canceled as scheduled. Apparently not enough attendees to commit reserving facilities. ;(

The main event for Saturday, August 21st is still on and alternate plans are forming for Sunday pending enough participants. This is an all Ford show event at the Mason Dixon Dragway all day, as well as racing. So those interested in SHOW as well as GO are sure to have a good time. Heck, I may do both! }(

**Pre-registration deadline for the MidMaryland 8th Annual Ford Meet is August 10. Show fee is 8$ if pre-registered, or $10 at the gate.

The big Annual Ford Event is just around the corner!

I didn't pre-register for the show as I am going for the racing! }(

I hope to have a pair of Nitto drag radials to try out with the new shift kit installation. I bought the Nittos for my birthday present. :7

If anyone's coming to my party, let me know?

Well as JP said it kinda got washed out as far as the track part goes. But we did institute plan B and it all worked out.

We will try to meet again on October 10th if at all possible to complete what we set out to do this time around. Anyone interested in attending is welcome to come.

I will TRY to get us set up with our own class again but with it being a points race set-up we'll just have to see and also see how many cars will be there.

We survived for yet another day.

Hope to see more folks then.
