That was a truly terrible event that happened at the worst of times - peak traffic. It must have been horrific sight for the rescuers responding to that scene. I hope that the number of dead and injured is low.
It is a good thing the bridge was under repair and some traffic lanes were closed and traffic was slow or it would have been worse. Imagine 6 lanes of 60 mph traffic and a bridge disapear.
35w Is a main road through the city of Minneapolis. It is going to slow things down.
