OMG it sounded so good, we cut off one to see if it was worth cutting the next and when i started that it sounded like my friends 2001 camaro SS with Borla. There is not mucd drone, I had the windows down and everything off. With the stereo on and window up you can't tell. In idle you dont even know its been moded. its a kick ass sleeper.

Ok listen here. Only saying this once. If you gut all the cats and have straight pipes and then free flowing mufflers, like alot of you guys do. You are the one that need to worry. Someone just thought they knew what they were talking about when they said that. I still got 3 cats and one resontar.

Have you had it on the highway yet? Sound, drone, etc. I was thinking of doing the same thing to the '98 just to make it sound like it has more balls.

Last weekend I cut off the mufflers and replaced them with pipe and Z28 Camaro tips.
The sound is great when the revs are up, nice and mellow at low speed. Just a slight drone when cruising on the highway. SUPER SWEET music at 3000 rpm and above. 32 valves and 4 cams sound really good and when you go higher and catch a gear it sounds very much like a well tuned Kawasaki.
I love it and I think I'll keep it!
Gears and traction lock next week, if all goes well.

Or you can NOT be cheap and buy a pair of performance mufflers and 2.5inch pipes all the way back. Of course it is going to run you some good money, perhaps at most $550. I have Stainless steel Magnaflow mufflers and 2.5 inch pipes with single X-pipe all the way back and it cost me $550 which includes labor costs. I believe it is a great price for an Exotic sound and alittle performace. Plus the stylish stainless steel look and nice tips, you can't go wrong. But If you want to be cheap and Hillbilly'ish,LOL, you can always ruin the high class luxury of the Mark VIII and run straight pipes much like all the GAY Mustangs out there!. I know I'm going to get some feed back on this one.LOL. but that is just my opinion.
P.S. I'm not hating anyone if they did do this, just an opinion. We all are family here at LOD!

LoL. So you must be dissing Ray (1wykdmk8) also because he has the identical mufflers and tips as me?. I know other people on here have em 2. But that is your opinion. People think they look ricer, only a few have said it and others love it, but if they give me some good time off my ET's and a truley exotic sound, I'll keep em.
