My pics, finally

RE: My pics, finally

I like the format you use. I can see & scan the smaller & blow up the ones I want to see closer.

I just cannot believe that there were no Mercury Capris (1979-1986 ~ The AMERICAN Capri) at Carlisle!

Thanks for Sharing them with us! :)

RE: My pics, finally

Nice pics!!!

Sandy, I would even love to see one of the European Capri's, as I miss seeing them around here...never actually saw one here in the U.S.
As a kid my dream always was one of those ZakSpeed Ford Capri's...nice car.

On a different note...what is the bolt pattern of that powder blue t-bird in the pics? Should it not be the same as ours??? Because the Borbet Typ A rims the car has on is exactly what I am looking for for my Mark, but seem to not find them in our offset.

Marcus.

RE: My pics, finally

Ok, I got an email from the owner of the nice powder blue TBird...what a nice guy!

Works out he has the original hubs in and still the 5x4.25" bolt pattern and got the wheels "drilled" to fit as they are available with the correct offset, but not the right pattern.

I will start a post in the tires and wheels forum to continue this, as I guess it fits better in there.

Marcus.

Enjoy!

I have some videos of some of the burnouts too, maybe i'll post them later if i still have room on my account.

Wow, Dave. That's the first time I looked at those pic's in months. You might want to check the lense on your camera. It sure made my butt look big in one of the pic's. :D

Great pics. Thanks.
Following up on the Capri topic. As for European Capri's, are you referring to the ones in the early 70's with the German built V6's and 4 bangers? I thought the switch to North American built Capri's happened around 1974 or 1975... They called them a Capri II I think. Then there was a switch in the late 70's to the Mustang carriage.I damned near bought a silver on black '81 with a 5.0 litre, 5-speed and T-Tops...

I did own a blue 1973 V6 Capri that I bought for $500.00. It needed a clutch, which I installed myself. What a job for the do-it-yourselfer without a hoist! I drove the car for 3 years afterwards. Every year though, it went through an exhaust system, which was pricy seeing as it was dual exhaust. It would have been nice to hang on to it, but that was not to be...
