Could someone please tell me what these two wires are for that are hanging off the side of the condensate pump?

The only thing I could think of was a remote trigger, but it has a biult in float switch.

Thanks, Google. why I didn't think of this before, I don't know. Most of the security systems at our schools integrate with the boiler control systems. they call people for all kinds of reasons..

heh. it was on some U.K. site. I actually did a google image search, spotted this, then looked at the source page.
