My trusty Pioneer receiver melted this morning, and I went shopping this afternoon and found one that will hopefully get me through the next 10 years or so. It is a Denon AVR-2808CI. Anyone have any experience with this receiver - likes & dislikes? I have a Sony Bravia 1080p LCD, and a Blu-ray player that the receiver will connect to.

lol it was stupid high... I paid $1k plus tax for it. I have seen it anywhere from the 700 range on the web all the way up to msrp.

I was concerned about the 2 HDMI inputs, but from what I understand, I can buy a stand alone intelligent a/b type switch that will expand the inputs without pressing any buttons on the switch.

I looked at the Onkyo and Yamaha receivers also, and they all had nice features that another did not have. So, it boiled down to the Denon having the features that were most important to me to run the Blu-Ray with all the current formats, and to run my 2 zones - family room and outside deck, with 2 different sources - movies inside and CD outside. :)
