I have a 93 mark and no cold air is blowing through the dash. It only blows on the floor and on the windshield. I've researched the probem without any definate solutions. Has anyone fixed this problem before or know of a fix?

RE: No cold air blowing through the dash.

I have similar problem on my 94. If I turn the fan speed down very low, it blows out of the dash, but if teh speed increases it only goes to the defrost. I am psyching myself up to remove the dash to see what's wrong...

RE: No cold air blowing through the dash.

It's a vacuum leak somewhere.

A long time ago, when i was still driving my thunderchicken, i had the same problem. I took it to the dealership and paid the $65 checkout fee, and they fixed it for that.

The dash isn't too hard to remove, but it isn't for the faint of heart. I did it on my '97 to fix a rattle, and luckily, i fixed the rattle without causing any new rattles.

RE: No cold air blowing through the dash.

Mine did the same thing. While working on the car I cracked a hard plastic line ,it was very small about 1/8 dia.it went to the intake manifold along with a couple of others.Just check the lines.its very easy to do....Get a 18 to 24 inch long piece of tubing ,start car,put 1 end near your ear and the other end near suspected areas you should be able to hear them loud and clear. It worked for me.

every once in a while mine does it but I fiddle with the fan speed control and it works the right way,the fan doesnt start working til i put the car in drive either then it works like a dream, should it do that?if its a vac leak i need to get it fixed to the dealer we go again. On a plus note i fixed my sunroof prob myself, for free just an alighnment. finally some good news, now to tackle those struts!
