Hello everyone I will be attending my very first Semi-professional Car show on Saturday january 17 2004.... the top prize is 1000 dollars It is mainly a Import Show with a Domestic Catagory... although my Lincoln does not have major engine mods it is very very Clean with Chrome wheels, tinted windows and a Fosgate 1200 watt sound system..... what do I say to the judges to make them seriously consider "The Evil One" for one of the possible prizes... I really don't care much for the money I just want a trophy! The judging is one on one.

RE: Opinion wanted.....

Just tell them everytrhing you know about your car, and everything you have done to it. I don't think there's much you can say to influence their vote. They'll probably just choose what they like.

RE: Opinion wanted.....

What I would do is:

Go down the "technology" road. Start slowly, but research every single detail about the technological advancements the Mark VIII posseses. For example. Most of the public(including Import car show judges) are not aware of the technology under your hood and how it directly relates to the current Import mechanical advancements. I mean.. a Dual Over-head Cam, normally aspirated V8 producing 280 HP. Thats cool. Even if they DO know about it, they want to make sure you do too, so... inform them.

Also, discuss with them the advanced, computer controlled, self levelling air suspension system. I think they will be blown away. I mean, alot of the "after-market" world is aware of "Bags and switches" for ride height control, but your car came that way from the factory, and the computer controls it automatically.

"Hi there(judge). My name is Stanley, and this is my Red garnet Glaze 1994 Lincoln Mark VIII. Lincoln only produced this model car from 1993-1998, and there were only about 120,000 models produced. The 1994 Lincoln Mark VIII came fully equipped with all of the creature comforts that most of today's cars still do not possess. It is powered by a 280 horsepower, 4.6 liter, dual over-head cam V8. It features a 4-speed, electronic overdrive transmission, computerized traction control, and a fully independent rear suspension. The suspension is a computer controlled air ride system that incorporates gas shocks out back, and air bags on all four corners. There are no springs on this car's suspension. The suspension automatically lowers itself while parked, and when the computer senses the vehicle has reached freeway speeds, to improve aerodynamics and handling."

" I have modified the sound system, adding ____________ and _________ with a _________ backed by a ___________"

The wheels are 18x8 Kaiser_______ supplied by_________, and it rides on (enter brand and size here) tires.

I plan on adding _________ and modifying_________, but for now, I just want to show off my pride and joy. This car is almost 10 years old now, and posseses technology that is still considered "advanced" in todays car market."

Thank you for looking at my car. Please consider voting for this car because of its uniqueness, quality, and an example of the perfect blend of "Performance and Luxury". It will help bring these vehicle's into the "performance and aftermarket" industry through car shows such as this one. There is a huge following for the Lincoln Mark VIII, and dont be surprised to see more of them returning to the public eye through competition shows such as this one. By the way, you folks have done a great job here with this show"(always kiss up.. period)

Then go back to polishing the rear quarter panel, until they announce that you have won, and go get your check and trophy. Be sure to thank everyone who voted for you, and thank all the other competitors. Also, you HAVE to wander off and check out other cars. They always know who is there to win, and who genuinely cares about the whole "scene". Show interest in the competition. They notice that. Sometimes they even ask if you saw "this car" or "that car".

Good luck Stanley. Your car will do well. Just try to do the same.
