Painting the window trim

couldn't you just hit them with some sand paper and then paint? I found a few write ups. I found a really good a while back but did not save the link.

You can buy etching primer these days in a spray can, but not sure how effective they are. Is the trim on our cars chrome plated steel or polished stainless? I would think chrome would be much harder to paint.

*sigh* Vinyl tape from 3m. You know...like the clear bra's or the cars made into signs with vinyl wrap?

Getting it to stick will be the trick. Did you ever think of covering it with that vinyl stuff they cover cars with? If you don't like it down the road you can just peal it off.
Or just do it redneck style and get some color matching duct tape
