Painting?

Yeah, for the Conti i bought, i want to paint it a nice eggshell white to go along with the amazing new hubs I picked up for it.

It is baby blue right now, no cracks or chips, (see the Mark VII forum for the pic). I brought it to one place, told me it would be 2500, and that... doesn't seem right. Anyone have a proper quote?

for a decent job sure that sounds right, specially if you want all the jams painted white too, then its a little on the cheap side, if you want it to sound " better " to you, go get a quote from maaco, that might fit your budget, but it wont looks that good.
 
Nah, I was just making sure that was what i was looking at.

Back in BC my mother paid... oh.... 800 to get her grand caravan completely shaved and painted. That just seemed a bit high compared to that.

Anyhoo, suppose i willw ait until i get to alberta. I am doing a complete reno on this car, want it to look it´s best.

That quote doesn't seem out of line. Believe me, do not have some moron who thinks he can paint a car do it in his garage. You'll be buffing it with 80 grit sandpaper before you know it.
