Paintless Dent Removal

While I was in Boca Raton last week, Aric had his PDR guy do his magic on five body panels on the Mark. I stopped by the shop on my way home after the 10 hour drive, and thought I had white line fever when I looked at the Mark :) What a terrific job he did. I am going to have him go over the Mercedes too. I still can't get over what a difference it makes :)

Now I just need to get the front clip stone chips - bumper cover, grill area, head light housing area cleaned up and painted on the Mark. I will try and take some pictures and post them. It looks to be a nice sunny day today :)

i'm no pro, but i have one of these kits that i used on my dj green 93 to pull some dings and one good size dent out and they are gone! it works awesome and the best part was i didnt pay a dime !!!!! what do they charge per panel?

I paid $40 per panel here in Georgia. For comparison, my brother-in-law said the Ford dealership he works at pays $35 per panel in South Florida to have their cars done in volume.

I cleaned the Mark all up today - even polished the tubes :) Going to enter it in a car show next weekend at the Atlanta Brewing Company. Free beer all day if I purchase a pint glass for $7 bucks :)

Here are some pictures, and a link to some more:

car looks awesome mike, i clicked on your link and i was suprised, but now relieved, people made it a point to talk about my orange peel in the red paint on that 94 i recently painted, your camera takes some really good pictures, because i can see orange peel in your car, and your paint is factory!!! as awesome as your car looks and you are always happy after a detail, you would be even more happy if you had it professionally wet sanded and buffed. the result is absolutely amazing and your car already looks amazing so i cant imagine the glass that car would be coated in if you had this done. orange peel shows up in any paint, factory or the backyard painter. but a color like yours hides it well, except when pics are taken with your camera!! that is probably the meanest looking ivory mark i have seen !!! you deffinetly have a one of a kind.

Thanks, Jamie :) My Mark does not have the original paint as far as I can tell. It was painted by the prior owner in the original ivory pearl tri-coat color. I think it is holding up well so far. I bought the car in 2002 I think, so it is at least a 6 year old paint job.

The car has a clean carfax, but has a story to tell - I am sure of it. Kind of fitting if you ask me. Not much is original on the car anymore :)

if thats a repaint then someone did a hell of a job. looks great . thats not one of jamie's lincoln auto parts resprays lol!!!! someone spent big bucks.

You don't mind me using your picture as my desktop background do you? The front view of the car with the hood open looks sexy.

I had a Paint less come to my place as I lined up 4 other cars for him so he was here most of the day (10-3). His normal hours. I had him work on all the door dents on "Whiner" and it turned out perfect. I had them on all sides, but concentrated. He was a private contractor, and I would recommend him to anyone in the Toledo area. It's amazing how they go about it. Price was about same as above, I had seen his work prior and I knew his quality so that was my priority.

I've got three minor dings in the side of our Mark, want to have them come fix them as well a few on our Cougar also.

I've got one for y'all...I've got shallow dime size dent on the trim around the neon taillight. You think they could get that out?

Twice I've had similar dings taken out of the trim around the Neon. I would imagine it would depend on the skill of the tech and whether he want's to try.

He took the plug off the end or the trim and got in that way. I think he may have made a small access hole also which he plugged.

Just to show what a good PDR guy can do, this is a picture of a dent I got backing into my mailbox several years ago that my PDR guy got out and believe me, you cannot see it now.

I had the same guy that PDR the Mark yesterday go over the SL Mercedes at Aric's shop. The SL had way less work needed than the Mark had, and he was done in about an hour if that. I watched him go at it, and he explained some of tricks of the trade to me. Again, WOW :) That is cool! Well worth the Benjamin :)
