Permanent removal of evap tray, hoses and canisters?

I'm on my 3rd tray, and here in rural Arizona there's no vehicle inspection. After all, it's a 27 year old car. Any problems just getting rid of it all? The hoses are falling apart, the canisters are ancient, and this tray is currently held up with zip ties.
I want to get rid of it. Any problems with how the car runs without it all?

I would get rid of the tray, but keep the evap stuff. With the temps in Arizona, those fumes can get strong.

You can buy a tray from carlos in california for like 5-100. It will be completly rust free like new. He can probably sell you replacements for the evap system to.
As I can no longer crawl on the ground due to arthritis, I'm weighing out the options of how to get it all done.
