Pre-SSHS10 Gathering & BBQ Thursday, November 4th

Hey SSHS10 Racers and Supporters, If there is enough interest, I would like to invite you to my house in Kennesaw, GA for a little get together and a place to hang out for awhile the Thursday before the Shootout.

No big production or anything like that, just grillin some brats, dogs, burgers, and I am sure there will be some story telling. I will also have some drinks on hand, but feel free to bring whatever you like to eat and drink too.

Please keep in mind I live in a quiet neighborhood. There will NOT be any burnout contest, or behavior that would piss-off my neighbors. I do not need to deal with any of that crap. Save it for the Shootout :)

I figure that any time after 12 noon on Thursday would be good, since some of you are traveling from around metro Atlanta, and out of state.

Post up if you would like to stop by, and I will PM you my address.
 
lol Come anyways. I have a invite out to the Marauder Guys also. Some of these MM's are decked out with faux police light shows including wigwags, flashing pursuit lights and pa/siren systems on them. So you would feel right at home, J. :cool:
 
Mike, if things work out, I hope to be in Atlanta all week. I'm not sure where I'll be staying and I have no idea what my schedule for Thursday would be but I would like to stop by (if your neighbors allow my car in da'hood). :wave:

I heard the Jameson was the place to be this year. Do you know if that's the appointed venue for the late night event(s)? :D
 
That would be great if you could stop by, JP :) lol All but one of my surrounding neighbors are senior citizens, and open headers might frighten them. :eek: If your running mufflers, there should be no problem at all. :)

Yes, I believe the Chevy guys are at the Jameson this year, and probably where the parking lot gathering will take place. I think if you mention Super Southern Heavy Shootout, you will either get a discount, or banned if you book a room there. lol :)

I am staying at the new Fairfield Inn that is next door to Ryans Steakhouse, and it is like across the street walking distance to the Jameson.

I am not involved in organizing and running the shootout this year. I am back to being just a race day participant, so I am out of the loop now with a lot of the happenings going on with this event.
 
My car frightens women and children, but I'll keep the cutouts closed just for you. ;)

I like the Jameson so I'll likely try to reserve a room there. I can drive to and from the track with the drag tires if need be. :)

I hope to see you and others Thursday, if I find out more on my exact itinerary, I'll give you a heads up. :)

No pics :( We had fun though :) JP, Gary, Cory, Mike, Bill, Dave, Wendy, and I attended the BBQ. Emily and Andrew were also here - but they just came for the grub lol.
