I have had this car for over 2 years. My cousin bought it not long before that and rebuilt the front end, converted it to springs, and gave it a good tune-up. I bought it a few months later, because we go through a lot of cars in my family. 
This is the longest I have owned a Mark VIII and I intend to keep it for a while longer. So it is getting fixed up a little bit at a time. I started buying stuff right away, and then ran out of funds. I bought a race-built 4r70w that was originally used to make a 99 Mustang GT go fast in MM&FF magazine:

The guy who bought "the silver stealth project" decided to go with a manual trans. I picked the auto for a lot less than MSRP. If all goes well, Doug will be swapping this trans into the car in the near future.
Edit: I was not satisfied by the 2600-2800 stall converter in the pics, so I just bought a 3800-4200 stall to replace that with.
