Shaved door handle

I recently picked up a 95 markviii that has a bit of damage on the passenger door and rear QP. When I have that repaired i was thinking about shaving the handle and installing one of those door pop kits, as the door is exceedingly difficult to open using the outside handle. I often have passengers and I think this would be easier than explaining "you have to lift ALL the way up and then pull from the top of the door" every time. Thoughts and opinions?

RE: Shaved door handle

Really, adding that electrical stress to a car already at the limit is not a very good idea. I'd guess that you also have a big sub and a 400W or better amp. First, adjust the door to open properly. Does the door drop down when opening it? Might be a worn hinge pin. Get the door working first and then decide whether or not to shave the handle. By the way, this is coming from a gearhead from the 50's who has had cars with solenoid door latches.
