Side exhaust

does anyoen have hem on the mark? I want the tips to go under in front of the rear tires on both sides. I saw a 96 chevy lumina with this done. where would the mufflers go? also would i have to get rid of the xx pipe? and if it would be impossible would it be possible to have the whole exhaust setup as is and have them bend the pipes back from the mufflers to the sides?

RE: Side exhaust

IIRC, I thought someone had a setup with side pipes at the 1st carlisle I went to, but I don't remember exactly, don't know who it was, and don't think it was someone who posted here.

Does that help? :+ No, I'm hoping maybe someone will remember who's car that was or provide more info.

RE: Side exhaust

thanks, I hope so too cause I wanna start looking at shops around my area but i'm sure most will just say it can't be done. so thats why I want info about this setup

RE: Side exhaust

I've seen some pics once... I think the principle is to use a single muffler in place of the third cat and have straightpipes. It wont work with sensor lowering i'm pretty sure. IMO it messes up the lines of the mark and leaves the backend looking a little bare.

RE: Side exhaust

I'm thinking too much work with the xx pipe I want in... now I wanna get a center exhaust setup with some nice tips. I have a xx pipe and 2 lms mufflers from my old 93 that are sitting here. I miss that exhaust so if i can put in on the black beast and make the tips go under the plate in back I think that'll look cool

RE: Side exhaust

i think its possible with one of danR's setups. this would look awesome on a mark with ground effects like joes ivory car. make some cutouts in the side skirts and youre golden.
