Snow Shoes

as far as I remember from last winter, alot of people were recomending the Brdgestone Blizzak tires. I was looking at them, and while they have TireRack's best snow rating, their ratings in some other categories seemed to be lacking, especially for a $96 tire. So in looking around I cam eup with these: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...eSearch=false&partnum=26R6WS&fromCompare1=yes

The Dunlop SP Winter Sport M2. For $99 (only 3 bone more) you get improved handling, improved conering, improved treadwear, and only a slightly reduced snow traction rating. What does anyone think about these? Anyone ever use them?

Are the prices pretty reasonable? What does anyone else pay for snow tires and where do you go?

RE: Snow Shoes

when i had my eclipse gsx I had blizzaks and pirelli "winter performance" something. I'll be honest here the blizzaks were the only tires I used in the winter because the pirellis came with a set of rims I bought so I never used them in the winter. The Blizzaks are a lot more spongey feeling than the pirelli tires, so I'm willing to bet that the blizzaks were better in the cold because of this. So what I'm basically saying here is that I would get blizzaks over pirellis, don't know about dunlops though.

PS that eclipse AWD with blizzaks in the winter was the most fun I've had in any car I've ever owned, and I did have a convertible at one time. My friends would always get scared riding around in the winter in my eclipse. I love minnesota winters :)
