So this girl sparks up car conversation with me...

She tell me how much she loves her 05 Scion Xa . "Because it gets great gas mileage is super practical and reliable as well as cute".

I tell her wait till I give you a ride in the Vette I think you'll like it .

Then I get this response...

"Nah, it is too impractical, you get that car when you're 45 or 50 years old and want to go out on a sunny weekend. You don't take that car anywhere and are probably scared to drive it and need to park it away from ppl. Then you probably just shine it up and keep it in the garage. You need something more practical and should wait off until you're old and rich to drive that car to the beach to have cocktails."

Didn't really have anything to say after that... other girls are always asking me for a ride and are all excited... this one is different.

Sad part is I think she is right :eek: .

Note to self... give girl ride in car before sparking up car conversation!! :p

What do you expect from someone that drives a Scion?

Did you tell her that she forgot to take her new "vehicle" out of the box?:D

Some people think their cars are just appliances. If it's not practical, it's not a very good appliance.

If she thinks that about your Corvette, I can imagine what she would think of my Lincolns and MGB.

We (most of us here I think) don't think like that.

We enjoy beautiful Automobiles that are fun to drive, comfortable, and have some styling.

She doesn't have a clue. Maybe she should move up to a minivan. The Honda Oddity comes to mind. Now that's an appliance.:D

How's that for flames?:)

:p This girl wasn't exactly 100% on the mature factor. But I thought it was funny and you guys were going to get a kick out of this :D!

To be honest in a way she really has a point... on the other hand one only lives once and I if I can afford it why not ?!

Having a 3250# car with over 350hp and mashing the 1-2 shift and barking the tires really puts a grin on my face :D.
