The Stock Mufflers are EXPENSIVE!

RE: The Stock Mufflers are EXPENSIVE!

Thats what you gotta pay for that quiet sound ;-)! They seem to last for a while too.

RE: The Stock Mufflers are EXPENSIVE!

Damn if i'd known they were that expensive i wouldn't have left them at the muffler shop when i had my magnaflows installed.

RE: The Stock Mufflers are EXPENSIVE!

Now you know why i saved mine, and Stanleys!!! I have 2 pairs...my originals came off my 94, and had 60k on them.

Stanley's had 135+k on them.

make me an offer...ANYONE!!! They still have the stock 93-94 stainless turn-down tips on them. Easily removed and other tips welded on.

BTW, California cars, so one set has NO sign of external corrosion, and the other hi-mileage pair show a bit of corrosion on the bottom/front seam/weld.

See the FOR SALE forum about them. I can take pics if needed.

RE: The Stock Mufflers are EXPENSIVE!

When I first got my '91 LSC, it needed new exhaust to pass inspection. Meineke's policy would only do 'factory' replacement. THEIR price was outrageous($600-$700) for a couple of pipes and mufflers. The owner recommended I take it to a custom exhaust shop. I did. :)

RE: The Stock Mufflers are EXPENSIVE!

i have so many stock pipes you guys would never need to buy new ones. i have heard they are very expensive. a stock cat on a new 6.0 ford is 1,000 or more i heard.

Gen II is much less!

Gen II is much less!

Looking at FPN and also having previously priced them from a local dealer, the complete Gen II LSC exhaust from the cats back is around $400 - FPN has it for $323. This includes both mufflers - everything behind the cats. I don't know why Gen 1 is so expensive.
