third cat and resonator more hp

I recently removed my third cat and resonator. Then I went to the track. To test the results. I gained over a tenth in the 1/8 mile. The elevation was a little over 1000ft higher than the pre cat removal run. and I still gained a full tenth. cheap hp. I plan to dyno the Mark again next week. I will post the previous dyno run and the new one for comparison

Umm your launch cut .05 of that .1 but your mph was 1/2 mph higher... you have have gained some minor power... or perhaps the removal of the weight helped you along a bit.

I think unless you do the mod at the track or on the dyno, it is very difficult to quantify results. That's not saying it wasn't an improvement - logic says the more free exhaust and weight loss will indeed yield a gain. It's just that the gain is statistically small and may be extremely difficult to isolate from other possible factors.

Think of it this way. If you do ten mods worth 1 HP each, it will be very difficult to see positive results from a single 1 HP mod but all of them together does make for discernible results.

Gotcha, It all makes sense but i am stuburn at time. the mods i can do at the track i will. the others will just be capared to the previous run. How accurate is it with the atmosphere and elevation i guess i need to go the scrap yard and weight the car as well. i have alot to learn with all of this but i will learn it.
