Tire Question

http://www.cardomain.com/id/my93markviii If I run a 145x45x17 on the front,and a 275x40x17 on the rear,will that throw the speedometer off any?

I belive having different size tires between front and back will casue the Traction Control to act funny (if you have/use it).

You mean 245 fronts, don't you? Yes, the speedometer will become inaccurate. No, it will not affect traction control or ABS.

This site has a calculator that will tell you the speedometer differences. http://www.dakota-truck.net/TIRECALC/tirecalc.html It really won't mess it up too much.

Actual Speed/Shown speed with 275/40/17
5mph 5.19mph
40mph 41.51mph
60mph 62.26mph

So your speedo will read faster than what your car is actualy going.

Be advised, the same size tire of different manufacturers will have slight differences in actual physical dimensions.
