RE: Track times and video proof (D/U WARNING!)

Those Mustangs do run low 14's (see his dial-in on the scoreboard). In bracket racing, the slower car gets a head start. I dialed in a 15.03, and he dialed in a 14.15 I killed him on the tree, so he never caught me. I'm sure he wasnt happy... he ended up running a 14.19 on a 14.15 dial-in. You can hear his tire spin off the line... at least it spins consistently because he was real close to his dial-in. He needs to cut lights to go rounds though. His MPH was only 99 mph, so he probably couldnt figure out why he stopped reeling me in down track.... I'll tell him why.. 4 CAMS BUDDY!!!

Don't think your tires aren't going to lose traction off the line. You need a little bit of spin to get the R's up. The trick is controlling the amount of spin with the right tire and suspension set-up.

Kale, I hear ya... and I agree with "you need tire spin to get the RPM'S up".. WE DO.. thats for sure, but I fear tire spin in our real drag car. If we cant hook up, we lose. A little bit of spin in a Mark VIII isnt too bad considering that DOES raise the RPM's, like a "rolling start", and gets us into the powerband quicker... I would rather be able to hook up, AND be in the powerband. I spun a bit, and thats with the stock freeway gears. If I was to swap gears to a 3.73, or even a 4.10, it would have been worse. You are right on the money about dialing in the suspension and tires.
