Here is the production version...

This is the concept

I know the rear lights are now FUGLY...
Maybe it is the silver... maybe it is those ugly wheels... but ugh... not a fan anymore.

I don't know Max.

I like the taillights better on the production model. They look more retro to me.

I think the lights on the concept look too modern for a Challenger retro mobile.

I don't care for the chrome script on the quarter panel on the concept car either.

I agree with you on the wheels though. They're ugly on both cars. I think they should have gone with a look similar to the original wheels to finish the car off.

i knew it, i knew they wouldnt keep the 70's body, they had to put the new millenium's touch on it. they just sold a concept challenger on barrett jackson, like the red one above, originally i think all they did for the concept was take a real 70 body and revamp it, because the front clip, doors, quarters and roof were all exactly the same as a 70, just new headlights and grille, and new neon tail light. i would have loved a version like the concept, but if that silver one is the final product, no thanks, just like the new sad excuse for a charger, i wouldnt want one.

I think its pretty hot. Gotta look past that photo cause its pretty generic. I will buy a Challenger..............a few years down the road if it suffers the normal Chrysler depreciation. The old Mopars had some of the best styling ever IMO.

I personally can't wait for them to come out and start to see what people think about how they drive and perform. I always love to hear the opinion of actually owners. I always take there opinion over any columnist. Which is a bit contradicting cause I use to be one for a newspaper.

Just look at a 300C SRT8 or Charger SRT8... they are the exact same car if you want to see how this one will perform... in other words low 13s stock high 12s with minor bolt ons.

This is why they were able to put this thing into production so fast. They had all the mechanicals in place already. All they needed was new sheet metal and IMO they messed it up a bit in the final version.

Whats so different about the body of the production compared to concept? I really cant tell. Taillights are different, dropped the sidemarkers down, its still the same shape though. And its fast. I think its a beautiful car. You guys saw the videos of us racing them, we where in a 400hp neon and couldn't beat them. The stock exhaust sounds mean on these. What did you honestly expect, no production model is exactly like the concept, but they stayed very close, and thats not good enough for you?

Just an illusion. The concept had none of the originals sheet metal. I saw a comparison when the concept first came out and all dimensions were different from the cowl to the rear clip. All the widow glass is dramatically different from an original, some thing you can look at to determine that the panels are different.

Some Information

Front and side profiles are ok... pretty close to original at least to the naked eye.

The wheels I really don't like... the back end got ugly because now it uses cheap looking regular bulbs... instead of NEON/LED

The entire rear end is fugly now.... but that is just my opinion... maybe an all black one will hide the silver cars flaws...

I just got off the phone with a friend of mine who went to Barrett Jackson. This guy has more money than he knows what to do with. He is the one who bought the Challenger concept and it's on it's way to LI now. He bought 11 cars including Reggie Jackson's Caddy, some actor's race Mustang, and others.

I'll take pictures when the three enclosed trailers arrive.

Holy smokes, 11 cars?? That will be me, if I ever win the lottery . . . I'll be a Barrett-Jackson regular, that's for sure!

I can't imagine what it's like to be able to buy just anything you want :p
