Carlisle 2009

Yeah, I agree, it is. But it's the closest that I could find with rates that I could afford. You have to remember, I'm a broke 18 year old. hahaha

Did you try hotels.com? They may have rooms closer and cheaper. Use Carlisle zip 17013

I could only find one hotel that was closer and as cheap, but it requires someone 21 or older to book and check-in for the room. The Econo-lodge made no mention of that, so I'm assuming 18 and up is alright?

Edit: No, wait, Choice Hotels' website said that it requires you to be 19 or older to check-in for a room, and if someone staying there is "18 years of age or younger, the required check in age is 21." So it looks like I'm kind of screwed as far as a hotel goes, cause she's 19 but I'm only 18. Won't be turning 19 until the last day of Carlisle. =\

Dude, you haven't hung out with this crew yet, have you? I'll just say this: Don't be surprised if you get appointed designated driver for the weekend. ;)

Econo-lodge should still book you. I stayed at one alone the day before I turned 19, myself. It should be fine for you as well.

Honestly, I was already expecting to be appointed the DD. Hate to say it though, but don't expect me to be there all the time though. My family's never really been much for vacations, so this'll only be the second time I've been more than 50 miles from home in something like 12 years, so my friend and I are planning on going all over creation just checking everything out in this strange and far-away land that y'all call PA. First time was August of '08 when I went to NoVA for a LEGO convention. haha

Oh, and I know we got a lot of smokers in here too, so I figured I'd through this out. I don't know what prices are like now in other states, but here in VA a carton is about $35 (well, for my Marlboro Red 100s anyway). If anyone wants to throw me some money, I can stock up on cartons of your brand and distribute them at the fairgrounds. :D hahaha

Oh you're tellin' me! I was soooo pissed, too, cause me and my crew got halfway there and I realized that I forgot my camera, so all I've got are cell-phone pics. :\

I think Sharon's bum wrist has a cold....

<3 ya! :D

You don't need photos if you can manage to swipe some building instructions. ;)

I'd offer to let you dictate to me, but somehow, I think that wouldn't work out too well. I mean, you'd probably still have to type it before I could interpret it and type it...

Oh well, it's the thought that counts. :) haha

Not to worry, you'll get dictated to enough at Carlisle. :D

When pre-registering, what counts as a mod? Performance stuff only, mods in general? Like, as of right now, I've only got subs, an amp, and an aftermarket headunit, but by Carlisle I'll hopefully have four mid-range speakers, two tweeters, and a completely custom interior. Would that count as none since it's not performance, two (sound system and interior), or five (subs, amp, speakers, headunit, interior)?

Edit: Oh, and is it the kind of thing that, since we're on the showfield, I have to be there before the gates open and leave after they close, or am I free to come and go as I please? haha
