Carlisle 2009

Patrick: Take a look at your average Lincoln buyer these days. 88 is just the beginning!

There's a "farmer's market" joke in here somewhere...

Eric... you gotta make time for the moments in life that are important...

like Carlisle... :D

Besides I'd like to see if that Gold machine can keep up with me :D

Is it going to a good home? Anyone we know?

How hard is it to sneak away for a weekend? Tell Dr. Bose I'll give you a note... :D

Which Caddy? The 78 Eldorado "Big Red" went to a good home a while ago, and DTS#1 was traded on the new DTS#2, which was my entrance in last years show...

Oh, a funny side note about DTS#1, I got a call from some prosecutors office in NH because apparently after I traded the car in, it was stolen, used in a series of crimes :D (go DTS#1) and then later recovered somewhere up there... and since I was the last registered owner, they wanted to know if I still owned the car.

BTW, in my sig pic, I'm standing on DTS#1

yea I like that DTS you were driving last year, sweet ride.

I'll talk to the good Dr and see what he says!! No I can have the time from work, I just have a few other things going on at the same time as Carlisle that I'm not sure if I can get out of!

I just registered. I'm driving on friday, so I'm not sure if I'll be there Friday or not. Probably not. I'm staying at the HoJo because that's where I could get a free room with my rewards points.

I'll drive my 93 if I think it'll make it, if not I'll try to borrow something more efficient than the navigator.

Dude, I drove that sucker all night from the south shore of Mass. Interesting night that started off with me at my buddy Tommy's watching the Celtics play in the playoffs (WOOOO!), downing a few beers, then Joe arrived and we watched a Mencia stand-up special for an hour, and didn't leave till after 1am. I was feeling fine, Joe was a bit tired, IIRC, and I just drove the boat all night/morning into PA nonstop. Never got uncomfy. (Even in the trunk, apparently...looks like it was A-OK!) :D

That was a crazy night... I can't believe you drove the whole way...
If there is one thing Caddysax is good at, it's long hauls...

I forget, Joe...have you ran the present CaddySax through the shopping cart-in-the-trunk test? (They don't fold as well as I do.:D)

Does anyone have more info about the campgrounds. Are there any facilities, running water, electricity, and how big is a "space"? I'm deciding if i should get a camping spot or a hotel. If it was just me, i wouldn't care, but the wife might be coming and I want her first camping experience to be a pleasant one. I'm trying to bring in a few more marks but i haven't been able to get a definate yes from anyone else as of yet.

I suppose it depends alot on what you have to camp in. If you have any sort of a trailer, camping on or off-site should be "wife-friendly" The on-grounds camping definitely catered toward RV's. From the looks of things, water and electricity were available, but I assume at an additional cost.

Last year, the girlfriend and I camped in a private field just outside the grounds in a tent. It worked well enough, but it was very hot, and we didn't sleep particularly well. Thank goodness for Trixie and Beerdog letting us use the shower in their hotel room! They definitely deserved the 2008 Hospitality award (unrestricted access to my beer cooler!)

We're getting a hotel room this year. The only input I had in the matter, was which one of my credit cards it was being charged to. :)

If I was on my own, I'd probably try the tent again. *shrug*
of course, now that I'm thinking of it, I gave *everybody* unrestricted access to my beer cooler....

I am thinking of bringing a coffee pot and campstove to use in the club tent this year though.

right back atcha, Sax. This year, I plan to prepare a bit better, and have some more unique Minnesota/Wisconsin brews. I'm thinking Surly, Lake Superior, South Shore, Viking, and if I make it up to Duluth, some Fitgers beer in growlers.

/Mmmmm Fitgers...

ROFL! (at both of you).

Well, Bill camps every year, but yeah, the weather can be so unpredictable. And last year's heat was IMO unbearable. However, Mike and Sarah did look oh so cute pulling wood ticks off of each other. ;)

Yeah, I camp every year, I love it. I didn't notice it being too hot in the tent though. My tent has big window screens.

Of course, I don't use the tent until the sun has been down for quite a while.:D

One year, it poured rain all night long, but stopped in the morning.:)

funny. I don't remember the rain a all. must've been on one of the "later" nights...
