I suppose it depends alot on what you have to camp in. If you have any sort of a trailer, camping on or off-site should be "wife-friendly" The on-grounds camping definitely catered toward RV's. From the looks of things, water and electricity were available, but I assume at an additional cost.
Last year, the girlfriend and I camped in a private field just outside the grounds in a tent. It worked well enough, but it was very hot, and we didn't sleep particularly well. Thank goodness for Trixie and Beerdog letting us use the shower in their hotel room! They definitely deserved the 2008 Hospitality award (unrestricted access to my beer cooler!)
We're getting a hotel room this year. The only input I had in the matter, was which one of my credit cards it was being charged to.
If I was on my own, I'd probably try the tent again. *shrug*
of course, now that I'm thinking of it, I gave *everybody* unrestricted access to my beer cooler....
I am thinking of bringing a coffee pot and campstove to use in the club tent this year though.
