Door Handle or not...

to provide a "solid feel," I would imagine. It's all about the user experience!

so just for fun, I did a google search hoping to find some car reviewer noticing the "superior feel" of the door handles. Instead, I found them lamenting the fact that they broke frequently. :(

well, they tried.

They probably break BECAUSE they feel so stout and people think you can really rip on them and they can "handle" it. :)

And this just happened to me too, went to open the Mark to give it a quick "wake-up" and the driver's door handle broke in the exact same spot as Joe's. Now I have to go through the passenger side to get in and pull on the driver's door handle from the inside. I didn't "heave" on it either, it just snapped.

Now Jeremi's more pissed at me! I see this can't be fixed, it must be replaced.

I've replaced door handles about 3 times before, but like Beerdog, I have to re learn it each time I do it because it's usually been a while since I've done it last.

It's not an easy thing to tell someone how to do it. Each little clip and rod is different. You just have to get in there and do it.:)

Yes, the silicone on the seals takes a big load off of the handle.

It was supposed to be in a garage, but, since it was totally re-done there was some stuff just piled in - I didn't pile it in. When I was finished with my translating work downtown the snows came and I wasn't able to clear it out so I could put the Mark inside. So I put it in the backyard with a cover on it.

I bow my head in shame and beg forgiveness.

So who piled in the stuff?

It was piled in by the wifey and the Mexican guy who did the garage. It came out great though! But I need to wait until the WX warms up a bit so I could organize it the way I want it to be. Plenty of shelving and lots of space so I can fabricate my hoodliners, it's been turned into a neat workshop with insulation and drywall, plus electrical outlets all over the place and 4 dual ballast fluorescent lights attached to the ceiling. For heat I have a pretty strong kerosene heater but I have a gas line in there too so I might go with a small gas heater later on. I have a window A/C unit as well that hangs icicles. The garage was a cluttered mess before but no longer.

All this doesn't change the fact that I broke my driver's door handle.

I knew it, all woman are the same, they see open space and they have a need to fill it with something. My wife is the same way lol :)

So i got complainants about the refrigerator in the house i got since it was split door. The one side opens to a wall so the one door would not open fully. So a new one was needed but it would have to be smaller to make it work. We have another fridge in the basement. So i took my 84 year old neighbor with me to the store to look at refrigerators since he likes to get out. We were talking about how i had to get a smaller one and the woman were worried it would not be big enough. He goes, it don't matter what size you get the woman will fill it up so just get what will work in the space. So this Monday the food in the up stairs fridge needed to go in the basement one. So the woman come back, well it all fit in the one so i guess the smaller fridge will be ok.

It sucks getting in the passenger side to have to climb over to pull the driver's door open and then try to keep that door open so it doesn't close on you. Especially when there's snow on the passenger side.
